Last year, WhatsApp officially released an application intended as a small business customer service, namely WhatsApp Business for Android users. This application is also available on desktop and web versions. This makes it easy to move some of the most popular features that were previously only available on mobile.
WhatsApp Business itself has reached 50 million downloads on the Google Play Store. Quoted from TechCrunch, the company said their application had grown to reach 5 million business customers. The existence of this business account itself as a tool to organize and filter chat, and reply to customer questions quickly and accurately.
"Quick Replies", allows business people to respond to general questions from customers with replies written previously. This is similar to the feature Facebook introduced a few years ago, called "Saved Replies or Saved Replies," which allows business owners with Facebook Pages to respond to customers with the same statement over and over.
On WhatsApp Business, business people can trigger Quick Replies by pressing the "/" button on the keyboard.
This feature is incorporated into customer service, while the others are in the form of automatic greeting messages that can also be used when customers call a business account. Or there is a "away or far away" message that can be scheduled when a businessman cannot immediately answer a customer's new question.
Other Features Launched for Web and Desktop Users.
"Chat list filter" that allows businesses to filter chat lists by category. Such as unread, group or broadcast messages. Like Quick Replies, this feature was previously available first on cellular services.
This is intended to facilitate business owners who work on their computers - send invoices, schedule appointments and respond to customer inquiries. They do not have to switch to their telephone to use this basic customer service feature.
